The GE Profile WPSQ3120T is a super large capacity, top loading washing machine. It features three wash/spin speeds: gentle/slow; normal/slow; and normal/fast. You can choose between four different wash/rinse temperatures: cold/cold; warm/cold; warm/warm; and hot/cold.

It has an optional extra rinse feature, and an audible automatic cycle signal that beeps when the washing machine has finished its wash, rinse, and spin cycles. It has eight different wash cycles: cottons regular; permanent press; knits; delicates; auto hand wash; auto soak; pre wash; and power wash.

The washing machine includes a built-in liquid bleach dispenser, and a removable fabric softener dispenser. The inside of the washing machine lid includes a step by step instructional chart for basic washing machine operation, which is clearly visible when the lid is open.

The included owner's manual provides detailed operating instructions. The manual also includes several pages of suggested handling for special items, and suggestions for stain removal. Operation of the GE Profile WPSQ3120T washing machine is fairly easy and straight forward. Load size is selected via a rotating dial. Wash and spin speed is selected via individual push buttons, as is the selection of wash and rinse temperatures. Selection of the various wash cycles is done via a large dial.

This dial is my biggest point of frustration with the operation of this washing machine, as the dial pointer does not line up correctly with the various cycle selection points. It is also difficult to position it in the exact correct location, often resulting in going beyond the desired point, and requiring full rotation of the knob to try to hit your mark.

Our GE Profile WPSQ3120T washing machine does a good job of cleaning clothes and other items. The top load design features a nice, wide opening for easy loading and unloading. Its super large capacity is a definite plus, allowing us to clean more items with fewer washing loads. The audible automatic cycle signal beep alert is convenient. We bought our GE Profile WPSQ3120T washing machine new in 1995.

It has been a reliable washing machine, requiring service only once in the 14 years we've owned it. The service was due to a broken cycle selection mechanism.
