Franzus Micro Pro Garment Steamer Model TS-183MS
I have a Franzus Travel Smart Micro Pro Garment Steamer Model TS-183MS. This steamer is designed for the traveler. It's light and it does a reasonably good job of steaming clothes.
It comes with a brush attachment that snaps over the steam vent opening. The whole steamer head comes off which allows you to fill it with water. It comes with a nice drawstring travel pouch to keep it all together while traveling. The steamer has two butterfly handles that pop out when you're ready to start steaming. It’s got a small power conversion switch on the bottom between 120V and 240V.
The whole contraption is pretty small and it easily fits in your hand when the butterfly handles are folded. It around 5 inches by 3 inches by 7 inches and weighs a bit over a pound. I bought mine on a department store for about $35. It has been well worth the price.
I've taken this steamer on approximately two dozen trips and I I've never had a leak so it seems to be pretty rugged. I have a soft travel bag and the steamer takes a pounding. I also use this steamer at home when I don't feel like putting up the ironing board and getting out the iron. Getting the steamer ready is much faster. The steam lasts for about 20 minutes. The one criticism I have of this steamer is that the steam output is a little weak.
I usually have to go over a really wrinkly spot several times before it's smooth. The power cord is about 7.5 feet long. This is a really good feature - I usually hang my clothes on the hotel shower curtain and plug my steamer into the bathroom outlet.
The Franzus power cord is plenty long - my old steamer cord was often too short to reach. I've owned this steamer for a little over a year and I'm very happy with it!
