Alcohol for other stuff by: Anonymous
Alcohol is wonderful on carpet! It also removes "permanent" marker ink also. i.e. if you use a "permanent" market to write on a DVD and make a mistake, you can easily wipe it off with an alcohol soaked paper towel.

This may be a good stain remover tip, using Alcohol for stains, but...remember that Alcohol is flamable and must be used with caution! This could be a dangerous method if not used with caution!

Alcohol for carpet stains. by: Faizan

I've done this too and it usually works well, especially if you get to it pretty quickly. We inhereted some pretty bad carpet with our house and it doesn't really help with those old stains (and I've used the steam cleaners a few times). I did manage to get out a couple with Oxi-Clean
