Bosch Nexxt DLX Series WFMC4301UC

I've never owned a Bosch product and am extremely disappointed with this washer. I can't complain about the job it does washing the clothes. The problem I have with this unit is that the door does not close adequately. You have to slam it shut from the point of the latch, not the top of the door when one would normally close it.

The door has been replaced, and to no avail Service techs have told me Bosch has a new design with the door/gasket and to make it easier to close when it's new is to put vaseline around the rubber of the door. That seems like a crazy solution to me; and quite hokey.

I would not recommend this unit.

Bosch Nexxt DLX Series
by: MR & MS. UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM & IF YOU FOUND A SOLUTION. PLEASE READ OUR STORY.....

The door on our Bosch Clothes Washer, WFMC4301UC, will not close unless we lift the door up from the bottom. We cannot simply push the door closed.

We've had several different service repairmen address this issue. To date the following items have been replaced: rubber gasket, door hinge, and door.

The door lock, (U shaped lock) rubs on plastic frame and this prevents the door from aligning and closing properly. We believe the hinge mechanism is inadequate for the weight of the door. That is why the door drags when it closes and prevents door lock from aligning with the locking mechanism.

Our hope is to find a serviceman that really wants to get to the bottom of this problem.

Don't buy Bosch
by: Anonymous

There isn't a font large enough to scream how much I hate this washer! Let me list the ways
1. the door leaked, and they said I was using too much soap so the suds were pushing out. Except it never has enoug water to even SEE the water so that's bogus.
2. about 2 loads out of 5 it doesn't spin so the clothes are still soggy, not damp, soggy! So then you have to run the spin cycle
3. If you wash any clothes with sleeves, (!) it ties them into a knot.Pant legs join up, too.
4. There is NO PLACE I can find that tells me what a 'full load' constitutes. Or a 'half' or 1/3 load. No weight measurement, no list of items, nothing!
5. I've balanced it over and over, and yet it still dances around the laundry room every time I wash a load of clothes.
6. Like everyone else, I get mold in the door, so I always just leave the door open between laundry days.
I will never buy a front loader again!

Great Washer
by: Joe Mama

I have never had a problem with the door seals. Use powdered detergent if you want to get rid of the mildew. This generally goes for all front loaders as liquid detergents have some products that made the stick around. As soon as I switched, the mildew went away. Always cleans, never a problem.

Piece of Garbage
by: Anonymous

What used to be a few hours chore has turned into a 3 day nightmare. One hour to wash a load of laundry, and it isn't even clean! We have to keep the door open when we are finished doing the laundry or black mold grows in the door gasket, and then it destroys our clothes. Bosch makes a great dishwasher, but a lousy front load washer!

stick with top loader
by: Anonymous

I agree that there is no problem with the clothes getting washed but for cost of a frontloader I am not satisfied.
The rubber seal in the door gets dirty and requires cleaning. You have to lift the seal and make sure it is not getting moldy. Also the flap that you lift to add detergent is now cracked. It is also cracked where the flap connects.
We did not buy the skinny stand to set it up on because we were thinking of getting a higher one later....they don't make one higher for this washer. So you really have to bend down to get clothes out, which is not good on your back. I am thinking that I will stick to top-loader for my next washer.

High Speed Spin gets skipped
by: Anonymous

This washer word great for 3 years.. 3 years and two months after purchase the high speed spin cycle gets skipped. So I missed the warranty period by two months, now that is precise engineering.. kudos to those good folks that figured that one out.

BOSCH WARRANTY COMPLAINTS
by: Anonymous

anybody that complains about bosch warranty should look at the dealer that sold it. It's a known fact that in any industry warranty is only as good as the dealer!!!!
