Great Ideas
for Bathroom Organizing

It is the lack of space which makes proper bathroom organizing important – space is indeed premium quality in this room. Women seem to take up most of the space with hair products and makeup. Men however are catching up with them with a range of new products being introduced to them.

To start with throw away old makeup which has passed its “safe to use” date. If you’re in doubt just throw it away. Then you can sort what remains based on your favorite items. There is no need to keep duplicates, such as your favorite shades of lipstick together in the bathroom. Store the others in a box out of the way. You can replace it when you need to.

Counter space has the potential to become a clutter magnet. Decorative canisters can really neaten things up as well as being useful. Clear canisters are useful because you can easily see when you are running low.

If you haven’t put them in already, hooks on the back of the door or on the wall are useful for hanging bath robes and towels. The hooks should also encourage other family members not to leave them on the floor. Just keeping one set of washcloths and towels for him and her saves clutter – the rest can be stored in a closet nearby.

The medicine cabinet should also be given some attention. Sorting through to find the expiration dates and throwing away the out of dates items is a valuable thing to do. This not only reduces the clutter but averts accidents. Throw away any bottles or pills that are no longer labeled. Now you can replace the medicines you use regularly.

You have a few options of storing the shaving supplies. Either a waterproof basked or another container works well for the razors, even a rack that hangs on the shower wall can serve well.

The cleaning supplies, if you have room, can easily be kept under the sink in a small basket. If you have a nearby closet you could put them in there as long as it is childproof for small children. You can keep everything in their which you use such as paper towels, gloves and sponges. As well as keeping things in order it also is a time saver when you need to clean.

The Kids Bathroom

The most important thing to keep this place organized is to limit how much things you allow in it and then teach them how to put back the things that they use. When you’ve made up your mind what’s needed then formulate the plan of action for storing the things.

For a start the shampoo and bath soap can be stored nicely in a plastic bucket. It can be kept at the back of the toilet or on the bathroom shelf. Soaps or shampoo can be put on racks which easily attach themselves to the wall by suction cups.

A plastic bucket makes a great place to store shampoo, bubble bath and things like that. The bucket can either be kept on the bathroom shelf, or even on the back of the toilet. There are also racks for holding shampoo and soap that can be attached to the shower wall with suction cups.

What kid doesn’t like having toys in the bath? It a good way to encourage them to take one but keeping them organized however is a different story. One of the best ways to store them is in a mesh bag which can be hung in the tub where they can drip dry. Soak them in bleach water from time to time as they do get mucky from time to time. If there is a particular lack of space you can just allow a few toys in the bath a bath time. The rest can be safely stored in the closet and can be rotated.

Of course hooks to the back of the door are again essential. A unique fun towel is great for a kid. It can be there favorite color or cartoon character. You can easily see then who is taking care of things. Limit how many towels and cloths you allow in the kids bathroom to prevent the place being over run. The spare can be just kept in the closet outside the bathroom.

Cute holders for toothbrushes are great for keeping the dental care equipment all in one pace. Newer toothbrush tubes make it much easier for the kids to brush their teeth.
