A Different Use For Baking Soda

by Sara Murray
(Florida)

So we all have boxes of baking soda just sitting there on the pantry shelf. I put leftover baking soda to work.

When I do laundry, I use a mixture of baking soda and water to remove stains. When baking soda doesn't do the trick, I use Borax.

Both of these suggestions are not harmful to the environment, but they still get the job done.

Whiter whites - cleaner clean
by: Anonymous

I did not know that baking soda could enhance the cleaning of laundry. I am going to try this the next time I do whites. At the very least I hope it brightens them up. Thanks!
