How does this washer stand out? »
It’s a slight upgrade to the WTW4800XQ counterpart, 50 dollars more expensive with 4 more cycles for a total of 12. This includes the Rapid Wash Cycle. More importantly it’s has energy star qualification added which means a significant saving on yearly energy costs. When used with an electric water heater this model saves 35 dollars a year on electricity compared to the WTW4800XQ. The money for the $50 dollar upgrade is saved in 18 months of normal use, which means the cheaper model actually turns out more expensive in the long run.
Consumer Opinions »
Pros “seems to know must how much water to use” “hardly know it’s running” “clean design” “rather inexpensive for what you get”
Cons “can’t reset cycle to particular point when adding a missed garment, only option to start cycle again or continue at current point” “have to trust this washer to decide how big the load is and how much soap it will use” “don’t need it to tell me how much water to put in” “an hour and ten minutes to wash the clothes – too much”
