A 1600 spin washing machine is a fast machine. Most washing machines spin around the 1000rpm (1000 spins every minute). Not so many spin between 1500 -2000rpm but there are some. Newer machines are generally quicker spinners - the more modern machines are getting faster and faster. The question is how fast can they go before taking off?

If you do get a fast spinner then you will find the clothes almost dry at the end of the spin. Although faster spins often result in the clothes being more creased. So often it is a playoff between relatively dry creased clothes or wetter unwrinkled clothes!

Never put delicate fabrics on high spin speeds – you’ve been warned. There is always the option of adjusting the spin speed to what you feel is right – so you don’t necessarily need to utilize the full power of your machine.

Another thing to consider when thinking about a fast spin is the wear and tear effect the machine has on the clothes. You don’t want your clothes wearing out quicker than they should. A gentle wash can stop the clothes becoming many different shapes!

Top loaders in fact our more aggressive towards clothes because of their spinning style even though they tend not to spin as fast.

Front loaders or High efficiency top loaders both fill a little bit with water and then spin really fast to get the clothes clean – which is exactly the reason why they use less power and water. This is unlike Traditional front loaders which usually fill with water and then the agitator agitates the clothes.
